Westcotes Weekly Update
Hello everyone, Here’s your latest update from the Westcotes neighbourhood policing team, highlighting some of the work our officers and PCSOs have been carrying out over the past week to help keep our community safe.
Bike and e-scooter seizures Officers seized two bikes and one e-scooter as part of our ongoing work to address concerns and improve safety across our local area.
Vehicle seized for no road tax Officers seized a vehicle that was being used without valid vehicle tax. We continue to take action where vehicles are found to be non-compliant with road traffic legislation.
Supporting the wider force Our officers provided operational support to colleagues across the force, assisting with warrants and supporting wider policing activity.
Football policing Officers supported a recent football match, helping to maintain public safety and provide a visible policing presence.
Drugs and arrests During police activity, drugs were found on a person who was arrested. We continue to take action against suspected criminal activity in our communities.
Protest policing Officers attended and policed a protest, helping to maintain public order and ensure the safety of those involved and the wider public.
Abandoned property Officers attended an abandoned property where people were removed. We continue to respond to concerns about properties in the local area and take appropriate action when required.
Scene preservation Our PCSOs supported scene preservation in another area, assisting colleagues and contributing to ongoing police activity.
Happy Navratri! We wish everyone celebrating a happy and peaceful Navratri.
Working together to keep Westcotes safe Our neighbourhood policing team remains committed to tackling crime and anti-social behaviour, responding to local concerns, supporting wider policing operations and maintaining a visible presence in our community.
We also recognise the importance of building strong relationships with residents, local businesses and community groups. Your information and feedback help us understand the issues that matter most to you and support us in directing our patrols where they are needed.
Thank you for your continued support. If you see our officers or PCSOs out and about, please feel free to stop for a chat.
